Description

Announcing ‘Outbound: Essays in Circulation’, a new MUMA series of texts that begin with an exhibition and move outward, circulating thought beyond the gallery.

In the first volume, ‘Speculative Ecology’, philosopher Claire Colebrook reopens ecology as a speculative question, challenging the assumption that nature, environment and humanity are self-evident foundations for politics and ethics. Against contemporary forms of ecological and political fundamentalism, she argues for worlds in which identities, environments and futures remain open to transformation.

Co-published with Perimeter Editions, the publication is produced in dialogue with ‘Syncretic Wilds: Phasmahammer and Natasha Tontey’ (18 July – 19 September 2026).

Co-editors: Stephanie Berlangieri and Dr Rebecca Coates
