Design 360° No.107 : Career Investigation of 90s Designers

Earlier this year, Design360° conducted a survey on the current landscape for graphic designers born in the 1990s in China. Design360° has consistently engaged with the industry and society by addressing various design topics. Now, we’ve noticed that the oldest of this generation is turning 34, coinciding with the period of rapid growth in modern Chinese graphic design. This survey seeks to provide an objective look at the professional status of graphic designers in China today.

The survey gathered 4,359 valid responses, with 111 participants contributing through interviews. In this report, we’re releasing the results, which include 31 statistical charts. Through this deep dive into the profession of “graphic designer,” we hope to reveal the tensions and intersections between the individual experiences of designers at a micro level and the broader trends shaping the design industry.
