商品描述

This is a series of photographs inspired by the French word inatteignable, which means “unreachable”. The author shows, through his landscape photographs, the difficulties posed by a foreign language, especially for an artist who lives far from his or her native country — the uncertainty and impossibility of communicating with spoken and heard words, and the belief that one’s own place can neither be here nor there, no matter how much time has gone by. The artist borrows the concept of “non-place” to suggest that of “non- scene”: scenes where nothing happens, scenes without admiration, the backstage of certain scenes, scenes after something has happened. To express these feelings in a book, tracing paper was widely used. For example, 10 pages of tracing paper are stacked in the middle of the book so that the reader can find the images hidden behind them by peeling off the layers.
